The air screen cleaner works by combining two main cleaning methods: mechanical screening and air separation. First, raw grain is loaded into a feed hopper and distributed evenly onto vibrating screens. These screens have multiple layers with different mesh sizes. As the grain moves over the vibrating surface, larger impurities like straw and stones are removed on the upper screens, while smaller particles such as dust and sand fall through lower screens. Only grains of the correct size pass through to the next stage.
After the screening process, the partially cleaned grain enters the air separation section. A strong airflow generated by an aspirator or fan passes through the falling grain. Light impurities like husks, chaff, and dust are blown away by the air and collected in a dust chamber or filter system. The cleaned, heavier grain drops into a collection bin or discharge outlet.
This two-stage process ensures high-quality cleaning of seeds and grains, making the air screen cleaner an essential machine in grain processing plants and agricultural industries.
