Grain magnetic soil separator is an efficient cleaning equipment that uses the principle of magnetic separation to remove metal impurities and magnetic mineral soil from grains. Its working principle can be divided into the following three key steps:

Magnetic adsorption
The core of the equipment is a high-strength permanent magnet or electromagnetic system, which forms a high-strength non-uniform magnetic field. When grains pass through the magnetic field area in a thin layer, mixed magnetic substances (such as iron filings, iron-containing minerals, magnetic oxide soil particles, etc.) are magnetized under the action of the magnetic field, and are attracted by the magnetic force to the surface of the magnetic roller or the gap between the magnetic grids to achieve preliminary separation.

Dynamic separation
Grains move at a controllable flow rate through a vibrating screen or a conveyor belt, and non-magnetic grains fall naturally due to gravity and inertia; while the adsorbed magnetic impurities are brought to the magnetic field-free area as the magnetic roller rotates or the magnetic grid swings, and are separated from the magnet by a scraper or centrifugal force and fall into a special collection tank to avoid secondary pollution.

Multi-stage purification
Some equipment adopts a multi-pole alternating arrangement or alternating magnetic field design, which enhances the capture ability of small-particle magnetic impurities through the change of magnetic field gradient, and further removes light dust with airflow cleaning to improve purification efficiency.

This technology has the characteristics of low energy consumption and no pollution. The magnetic field strength on the surface of the magnet is usually 8000-15000 Gauss, which can remove metal impurities with a particle size of more than 0.1mm. The impurity removal rate exceeds 99%. It is widely used in the pre-processing of grains such as wheat and rice.
